Hills-based artist Claude Ciccone will present two oil paintings at the 2017 Camberwell Art Show next month.
The local artist, who has taught oil painting for the past 10 years, said that presenting the two paintings at the Camberwell Art Show is “a good opportunity to showcase my work”.
Ciccone has taught oil painting to a group of students at the Hut in Ferntree Gully for the past three to four years, and previously taught students at the East Ringwood School of Arts for three to four years.
He has been volunteering at the Puffing Billy Cafe in Belgrave for the past two months and said that work has inspired him to produce the paintings.
“I have occasionally visited The Puffing Billy in the past but actually working there really gave me a better sense of the atmosphere and the light at different times of the day,” he said.
