Adults who would like some action are invited to enrol in the belly dancing classes at Mystique Dance Academy in Belgrave South.MYSTIQUE Dance Academy is a performance-based dance school, located in a fully-equipped studio in Belgrave South.
The dance school’s philosophy is that dance is an art form, designed to be enjoyed by both performers and audiences alike.
The aim is to provide professional, positive and practical training to all students; and develop in each student confidence, a love for dance, and the skills to continue performing at a professional level.
With the studio operating six days a week, classes are held for all age groups and abilities. Dance styles offered at the studio include classical ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, hip-hop, belly dancing and boys’ funk and street tap classes.
A fun pre-school song and dance program for ages 1-5, and daytime jazz, tap and belly dancing classes for adults are also offered.
Class sizes are limited to 10 students, ensuring that safe dance practice is always a priority and students receive the individual attention they need.
Three performances are held throughout the year — a mid-year concert at the end of Term 2, an annual theatrical concert at the start of Term 4, and special pre-school and public performances at the end of Term 4.
These performances are a means of developing confidence, technique and enjoyment of dance.
Internal assessments of students are completed at the end of Terms 1 and 4, and these are used to track each student’s development throughout the year and to give parents and students an idea of how they’re progressing.
Mystique Dance Academy enrolment day will be held on Saturday 31 January between 10am and 2pm at the studio.
Classes resume on Monday 2 February and are held in line with the school terms.
