MARGUERITE Stark-Ebert has been inspired to put the art of education on canvas.
The 78-year-old artist will unveil her latest exhibition titled the Pathway to Knowledge next month at the Hut Gallery in Ferntree Gully.
More than 30 pieces will be on show and will feature students, professors, graduates and buildings from Melbourne and Cambridge Universities.
Ms Stark-Ebert said she was inspired to paint about education after visiting universities in the United Kingdom and Australia.
She first started to paint when she was a child.
“I saw another artist and thought that is what I want to do,” she said.
“So I went off to art school and have been painting ever since.”
Her latest exhibition will be opened officially by art collector and former Melbourne University mathematics lecturer Desmond Memory on Sunday, 8 February.
The show will be open until 28 February at the Hut Gallery, 157 Underwood Road, Fern tree Gully, every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
