Emerald U3A has demonstrated that you certainly can teach an older dog new tricks. The disruptions of 2021 have taught us a lot about how adaptable we can be. We have continued to thrive throughout the lockdowns thanks to digital technology, email and the good old telephone. One of our oldest members is 94 and she would join in with classes presented via Zoom. Those stereotypes about grandma and the internet have been proven wrong.

In 2022 we will be offering around 45 courses and activities ranging from table tennis and yoga to painting, music, current affairs, history and opportunities to learn a new language. If you are over 50 years of age and no longer working full time, come and join us. For $40 per year you can enrol in an unlimited number of courses. Check us out at www.u3aemerald.org.au

We need help! We are looking for a new Philosophy group leader or tutor. This would involve leading a very interested group of thinkers for two hours every two weeks. If this sounds like something you might like to do, drop us a line at emeraldu3a@gmail.com. We meet at the new Hills Hub in Emerald.
