Brookers thrash rivals

U16
Gembrook-Cockatoo 19.15.129 d Yarra Junction 5.5.35
THE Gembrook-Cockatoo boys waited for each other again before they started to take the game on, so after a slow start they resorted to running and first options which created a good run into the forward line, resulting in goals.
Best: Team effort!
U14
Gembrook-Cockatoo 28.20.188 d Yarra Junction 1.0.6.
WHAT a good win, but full credit to Yarra Junction for fighting the game out. The score line could have been better, but for bad kicking in the third quarter.

U12
Gembrook-Cockatoo 8.10.58 d Yarra Junction 3.6.24.
A great team effort! Apart from the third quarter fade out it was a top effort. Inaccuracy cost Gembrook-Cockatoo some valuable percentage points but the team can work on their goal kicking at training.
Best: C. Hannah, C. Sawyer, D. Welsh, C. Osmond, L. Purdon.
Goals: D. Welsh 3, C. Sawyer 3, T. Hutchinson 2.
U11
Gembrook-Cockatoo v Mt Evelyn
FROM the first bounce it was evident that the game was going to be a hard slog. Mt Evelyn showed that their superior ball skills helped them to a convincing win.
Best: T. Peachey, P. Fitzgerald, J. Johnstone, J. Kendall, B. Porter.
U10
Gembrook-Cockatoo 10.6.66 d Yarra Junction 1.3.9.
THE team played an excellent game. Thanks to all the players who filled in for the opposition. Goals were kicked in each quarter with 4 players kicking their first. The boys all ran well together in numbers, linking up from line to line, sharing the ball around and looking for each other.
