Emerald edge past Seville

THE Emerald Football Club team travelled to Seville on Saturday to play in gusty, wet conditions.
Seniors

After a see-sawing first quarter Emerald seniors quickly lost two players for the rest of the game with injuries.
They battled hard and led by seven points going into the first break. Emerald managed to outscore Seville by three goals to have a handy lead at half time.
In the third quarter, Seville clawed their way back against an Emerald side that was being depleted by injury.
But Emerald held on to valiantly record a great win for the club.

Reserves
Seville 14.8.92 d Emerald 13.8.86.
In the reserves, both sides played tough football.
Emerald came out kicking with the wind in the final quarter and managed to kick four goals, however Seville’s determination saw them score two goals, to run out winners by one straight kick.
