Gear up for auto service

ESTABLISHED for over a quarter of a century, JL Automatics in Emerald is one of the town’s oldest and most trusted businesses.
Proprietor and manager John Ligtermoet, set up the business in the early 1980s to cater for the needs of local drivers and their vehicles and since then has built up an impressive range of services.
“JL Automatics is a one-stop repair and service shop,” Mt Ligtermoet said.
“We keep up with the changing nature of mechanics and vehicles and are updating the services and equipment at the workshop all the time.”
JL Automatics specialises in automatic and manual gearbox repairs, power steering repairs, EFi diagnosis and injector cleaning and brake, steering and suspension repairs.
The workshop also carries out general service, tune and roadworthy testing and is equipped to carry out service and repairs on all types of vehicle air-conditioning including re-gas.
“We take care of all makes and models and all our work is fully guaranteed,” Mr Ligtermoet said.
A team with a wealth of experience backs up JL Automatics’s services. Mechanic Rob Prince has worked with Mt Ligtermoet for nearly 20 years and Kyle Simpson is currently completing his apprenticeship with the team.
JL Automatics is located on Heroes Avenue, Emerald, and is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and by appointment on Saturday.
