Book in for financial assistance

ACCOUNTANCY firm Alexander Neil and Associates offers a broad range of accounting services including bookkeeping, taxation and GST and business advice.
Neil Busacca and Alex Laghi are the principals of the Emerald accounting firm which they established 21 years ago.
They have been actively involved as business partners in their profession since 1985, both in suburban and country practices, and spent a short time with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) as auditors.
Alexander Neil and Associates has established a broad network of professionals including financial planners, lenders and professional brokers to augment the services they can offer to clients.
Employing sound business practices and integrity in their approach, they have also maintained a good rapport with their peers in the surrounding district.
With four professional accountants, Alexander Neil and Associates is able to offer sound, experienced advice and personalised customer service.
A mobile bookkeeping service is also offered for the accounts and business management needs of clients in their homes or offices.
Mr Busacca stresses the need for taxpayers to keep their books and accounts in good order and be aware of their tax obligations.
“Since the introduction of the GST, the ability of the ATO to review has become more efficient and streamlined and reviews are now occurring on a more regular basis,” he said.
He urges taxpayers to make sure they keep receipts and relevant documents and if unsure of what is required, to seek the advice of a professional accountant.
Contact Alexander Neil and Associates, 329 Main Road, Emerald, on 5968 6062.
Appointments are available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Fridays and on Saturdays by prior arrangement.
