POLICE are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a video store in Monbulk last Thursday night.
Senior Constable Steve Price from Monbulk police said the incident occurred at 9.50pm.
He said a man entered the store and demanded cash from the 22-year-old woman working in the store at the time.
The woman was hit in the face with a weapon, before the man fled.
Sen Constable Price said the girl was taken to Angliss Hospital in Ferntree Gully where she was treated for lacerations and bruising to the face.
