AS THE dreary winter months set in, sportsmen and women of all ages can rest assured that Action Indoor Sports Stadiums will enable them to keep on playing – under cover.
Whether it’s cricket, netball, soccer, handball or even touch rugby, Action has the facilities and competitions to accommodate everyone.
Owner Michael Westcott says the centre has become a real favourite with junior cricketers and soccer players looking to test their skills against adults – with year nines and above playing in evening adult competitions.
Cricketers can hone their skills in four bowling-batting nets before moving into the three netted courts for the real test.
Given the match and practice facilities available, it is little surprise that Action has become a breeding ground for some of Australia’s elite indoor cricketers.
Thirteen local players were recently selected for the national titles in New South Wales later this month, while two women were chosen to represent Australia last year.
As well as the sporting facilities, Action also has a kiosk and licensed bar with pinball machines, a pool table, jukebox and wide-screen TV – making it the ideal venue for parties and club functions.
Action is located at 14 Gatwick Road, Bayswater North.
