BERYL Bartacek of Emerald is fed-up with the postman not delivering the correct mail.
This comes as Australia Post warns Emerald people to be more diligent about their letter box security.
People are being advised to report anyone acting suspiciously around letter boxes in Emerald after mail was found on the ground some distance from the address it was delivered.
Australia Post says the two issues are not related.
Ms Bartacek said she is sick of getting the wrong mail delivered to her house.
She said it has been happening more frequently in Emerald and urges other people who are getting the wrong mail to make a complaint to Australia Post.
Ms Bartacek said the problems with the mail has been going on for several years but she has noticed it is now becoming more of a problem.
“I have noticed everyone is now talking about it happening all the time,” she said.
Ms Bartacek said the only way to fix the problem is for people to make a complaint.
“If enough people start to complain, Australia Post might start to do something about it,” she said.
Australia Post spokeswoman Nadine Lyford said people receiving incorrect mail should contact Australia Post’s customer contact centre on 131 318.
Ms Lyford said people can also hand the mail into their local post office or write on the envelope ‘incorrect delivery’ and post it at any street post box.
