SPRING is here and it’s time to delight in the beautiful, natural attributes of Emerald Lake Park.
See the vibrant new foliage on the various deciduous trees, the fantastic colours of flowers, both indigenous and exotic, and the ducklings that will be out and about in a couple of weeks.
Spend the day paddle boating or take a leisurely stroll or just relax and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful park surroundings.
The park also offers access to the Emerald-Cockatoo Trail which is a delightful walk in a bushland setting
Emerald Lake Park is now more than just a recreational experience but also a dining pleasure.
Emerald Lake Park Cafe and Tea Rooms serves up all the favourites.
Delicious offerings include hot home-made soup, gourmet meals and snacks and traditional Devonshire tea.
Take advantage of some spring specials such as fishing, thanks to the Department of Primary Industries which has re-stocked the lake with rainbow trout.
Visitors are invited to come along and catch a fish or two in the upcoming school holidays.
The Model Railway will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm every day throughout the holidays, with not only the usual quality locomotives running but also some special friends.
Thomas the Tank Engine and Percy will be there for the holidays, so locomotive lovers both young and old are invited to spend the day and come for a ride!
Admission for adults is just $5.50, concession and senior card holders $4.50 and children 3-15 years a low $3.50.
Family tickets are also available at $14.50 and cover either two adults and two children or one adult and three children.
Due to demand, a new larger family ticket of one adult and four children or two adults and three children is available for just $17.50 offering a saving of more than 20 per cent on standard admission charges.
To get to Emerald Lake Park why not jump on the Puffing Billy Railway.
As a special for the holidays, Puffing Billy Railway will offer a 10 per cent discount on the normal return train fare to groups of 20 persons or more.
