FOR Emerald artist Vyvyan Bloomfield, art is about following her imagination.
She is welcoming hills people to come along and experience a journey into her imaginary work of art at her up-coming exhibition.
Bloomfield, a veteran artist, will exhibit her latest work at Round About Thyme during August.
The exhibition will offer something for all art enthusiasts to enjoy from oil paintings and watercolours to ink, and pastels to charcoal sketches.
Art has always been a passion for Bloomfield every since she was a young child.
“I have always put my inner feelings on canvas and I have always had a passion for art,” she said.
“At school, I was one of those kids that, instead of studying my maths book, I was drawing on it instead.”
Bloomfield has been painting for more than 25 years and says that her passion for art has never waived. “I have a passion for life, colour and form – art entices and excited me,” she said.
“It (art) enables me the freedom to fly with my imagination.”
Bloomfield’s exhibition will be official opened on Friday, 3 August at Round About Thyme, 74 Monbulk Road, Kallista, at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in attending or wanting to find out more about this hills artist should call 5968 3618.
