Birthday wares on sale

GEMBROOK Market is inviting all families to help celebrate its second birthday on Sunday.
The birthday bash will be a family fun day out with heaps of fun and excitement for local children.
Farm animals, amusement rides, a jumping castle and free lollies will be just some of the great things on offer at this birthday party.
A highlight of the day will be acknowledging the environmental achievements of local children.
Emerald Primary School students will talk about their frog bog project while Cockatoo Primary School students will display their new pushcart.
The pushcart was solely made from recycled materials and highlights the importance of recycling, the reduction of waste and the benefits if becoming environmentally aware.
Highlighting the importance of looking after the environment is what the Gembrook Market is all about with its wide range of stalls offering homemade and grown products.
Market committee chairman John Cascone said the committee was delighted to be able to celebrate two years of successful operation by holding the family day.
“It’s a free day of children’s activities which will help families out financially but, more importantly, it’s a day to thank local people for their support and to celebrate that Gembrook Market is here to stay,” he said.
The market is held at Puffing Billy Station in Gembrook between 9am and 9pm on the last Sunday of every month.
