BIMBIMBIE Wildlife Park will be hosting a special presentation of boomerang throwing by members of the Victorian Academy of Boomerangs.
The event will be on Sunday, 17 September and features demonstrations at noon, 1.30pm and 3pm.
Normal admission prices apply to the park but the demonstrations are free and let both children and adults learn about the art of boomerang throwing and have a try themselves.
Boomerangs which are guaranteed to work will be on sale and Bruce Carter, the Australian boomerang throwing champion and winner of 15 Australian titles, will be present.
The fun will continue at Bimbimbie during the following weeks of the school holidays with reptile shows at 2pm, ceramic painting and pony rides!
Meet new babies, wombats Bree and Jindi, piglets with attitude Paris and Nikki, Gemma the calf and all the joey wallabies.
The popular Ranger program is running on Wednesday, 20 September for 12 to 16-year-olds, and Wednesday, 27 September for 7 to 11-year-olds.
The cost for this full day program is $40 and bookings are essential.
Bimbimbie is a very special place to visit and one the whole family will enjoy.
The tearoom will be open or visitors will be able to enjoy a barbecue or picnic in the bush setting.
The park is at 523 Paternoster Road, Mt Burnett.
It is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
