Stars shine for school birthday

OLINDA Primary School is calling on all past and present teachers and students to join in the birthday bash of the century.
The school is celebrating its centenary later this month with good food, wine and entertainment.
Principal Jorg Kiene is calling for everyone who may have been involved with the school over the past 100 years to join in the celebrations.
A huge line-up of acts will take centre stage at the celebrations including Trousers, a group of former Little River Band members, and Noiseworks musicians along with members of the John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, and Dancing with the Stars bands.
Meanwhile, Scavenger Hunt a group of young up-and-coming musicians will provide support for the Trousers.
Scenic helicopter flights and historical memorabilia will also be on display for anyone who is interested.
Children, parents, teachers and local businesses are also invited to join in the fun of the inaugural Olinda Primary School Cake Off competition.
The celebrations will run from 2pm to 8pm on Saturday, 18 November at Olinda Primary School, 45 Charlemont Lane.
Entrance to the centenary celebrations is $35 for a family, $15 for adults or $5 for children.
