PEOPLE wanting to take charge of their life and learn new leadership skills need to look no further.
The Shire of Yarra Ranges is now seeking participants for its 2007 Vista Community Leadership Program.
Mayor Tim Heenan has encouraged anyone who is even remotely interested in the program to find out more.
An information night is being held on Thursday, 22 February at the shire offices in Anderson Street, Lilydale.
The program aims to enhance leadership skills and to teach participants how to inspire and connect with others, increases their understanding of social issues and expands both personal and businesses networks.
Cr Heenan said the program is a unique initiative that has gone from strength-to-strength since it began five years ago.
“If you’re someone who wants to make a positive difference in your community, or you’re someone who may benefit from building on your leadership skills – Vista is for you,” he said.
Applications for the Vista program close on Friday, 9 March, so people interested in the program should apply or attend the information evening on Thursday, which starts at 6.30pm.
For more information on the meeting or the program call Jackie Elward on 9294 6386.
