ENJOY sensational food in a rich, yet very friendly environment at Belgrave restaurant Earthly Pleasures – which has now moved to the Jorgensen building.
With a fabulous menu based on fresh, organic food, Earthly Pleasures is setting the style for healthy eating.
Having recently moved from their previous location in the Main Street into the gracious old Jorgensen residence — little sister to Eltham’s celebrated Monsalvat — Sharon Nicholson and Adam Karan take great pleasure in inviting people “to experience what real food should taste like” in the warm and relaxing atmosphere of the beautiful National Trust building.
Sharon said that the menu is based on organic, chemical-free and free range ingredients and everything is made fresh on the premises including soup, chutney, vegan pesto, muffins and cakes.
“We use Jasper Fairtrade coffee and organic chocolate and we offer options for vegan, gluten free and dairy free menu choices,” she said.
Breakfast is available from 9am through to 2pm.
Choose from the extensive breakfast menu that features thick and creamy organic porridge served with rhubarb and apple compote or a selection of free range eggs and bacon, the “big breakfast” or scrambled tofu all served with organic sourdough toast.
The lunch menu offers soup of the day, organic mountain bread wraps, wedges with sour cream, organic sourdough focaccias, lentil and tofu burgers and frittata made with free range eggs and cream.
Indulge in a night out at Earthly Pleasures and enjoy a great organic meal accompanied by a glass of organic wine or an organic beer.
The dinner menu changes every week and includes options such as home-made organic gnocchi with creamy wild mushroom sauce, King Island osso bucco, free range chicken saltimboca and delicious homemade desserts.
Open for breakfast and lunch from 9am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Sunday and for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, this delightful restaurant is at 1627 Burwood Highway, Belgrave.
