SPELLS and potions are being cast as Puffing Billy awaits the arrival of the Wizards and Witches Express.
Hills children will be spellbound in the school holidays as this magical train pulls into Emerald for the very first time.
Puffing Billy volunteers are now adding the final touches to their costumes and polishing their potion making skills for this new event.
Special events manager Nadine Hutchins said spring is the perfect time to visit the Dandenong Ranges and is encouraging everyone to venture outdoors and experience the magical journey of the Wizards and Witches Express.
Ms Hutchins said children would get the chance to meet Puffing Billy’s magical characters, Wizard Powers and Witch Way-Did-She-Go while enjoying the train ride.
In a hilarious musical pantomime children will be called on to help Witch Way-Did-She-Go to break the magic spell that has been cast on Wizard Powers.
To finish off this spellbinding journey, children can help find magical money that has been left in a bewitched balloon.
The train will pick-up its passengers at Emerald station and take them on a 20-minute spellbinding tour of the Dandenong Ranges.
The Wizards and Witches Express will roll into Emerald on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 September and on Tuesday 2 and Thursday 4 October.
This magical tour costs $18 for adults and children and $8.50 for toddlers.
Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 9754 6800.
Proceeds from the Wizards and Witches Express will go towards running Puffing Billy.
