IN the lead-up to summer and the Christmas break, Ron Moulday and his team from Monbulk Tyre and Auto Service advise motorists to have a full tyre safety check before heading out on the roads.
“Whether you’re driving interstate or just across town, you should regularly check your tyres to ensure safe motoring,” Ron said.
“We carry out free safety inspections to make sure your tyres are wearing evenly and are correctly inflated. Proper tyre care means safer motoring.”
Monbulk Tyre and Auto Service is a preferred Bridgestone dealer and offers all top-of-the-range new and second-hand tyres.
They also offer computer balancing, computer wheel alignment and all mechanical repairs including brakes and suspension to most vehicle models. A range of batteries and accessories is also stocked.
Competitive pricing, superior workmanship and personalised customer service have all resulted in Ron Moulday’s impressive record of 22 years in retail.
He has the following tyre safety tips for motorists:
All tyres including the spare should be checked to ensure they are properly inflated to cope with long trips and changes in the weather.
Check pressure when tyres are cold (check with your tyre specialist for recommended pressure rating).
Tread depth should be no less than a match head.
Check for uneven wear of tyres, which may indicate a problem with steering, suspension or wheel alignment.
If in doubt, check it out! Call in for a free tyre safety inspection at Monbulk Tyre and Auto Service, 12 Main Street, Monbulk, phone 9756 7697 or phone/fax 9756 7658.
