DANCESPORT Kingdom opened at Lilydale 12 months ago and offers classes for people from beginners through to competitors in Dancesport or ballroom dancing.
Studio principals Andrew Howlett and Monica Fincham are current professional Australian Dancesport finalists and can take the advanced dancer into the exciting world of competitive ballroom dancing.
The studio has teachers specialising in beginners, those starting to learn dance or at competition level.
Classes are available for all ages in modern ballroom, Latin American, new vogue, rock ‘n’ roll, street Latin, bridal dance, hip hop, dance exercise and yoga classes.
“We offer classes for all ages, from children, social and medal classes, a weekly senior tea dance, adult Dancesport classes, teenage socials and hip-hop,” Ms Fincham said.
Ladies’ dance exercise classes are held Monday and Wednesday at 9.15am.
“You don’t need a partner but can cha cha and samba your way to fitness in a fun way. The studio also offers private dance lessons,” she said.
Anyone who has always wanted to learn to dance can try the studio’s free introductory beginners’ classes for adults.
You don’t need a partner, just neat casual clothes and a sense of fun.
The studio holds social dances every Friday and the third Saturday of each month.
