Customers visiting The Deli Platter between 11am and 1pm on Saturday, 28 July will have the chance to taste these delicacies and purchase some of the products on offer.
As a special winter warmer, Mary is also offering a complimentary box of Andrea’s Flavor with Fire Curry Magic mix with every purchase of $30 or more on deli items (available until stocks run out).
“As a hills local I had already identified a need for a great deli,” said Mary.
“Not just to supply locals with delicious platters and quality meats and cheeses but to satisfy the demand of an area which attracts thousands of tourists a year.”
Now supplying everything from quality meats and continental preserves to artisan wood-fired sourdough bread, freshly baked bagels and a wide range of cheeses and delicacies, Mary’s tasteful premises is making its name as a foodie haven, combining a traditional country kitchen look with a dash of contemporary class.
“Business is brisk,” chuckles Mary whose six-strong team has mastered the art of coffee making and provides coffees by Piazza D’Oro.
“People adore our coffees and we have a great lunch time run with our gourmet rolls,” said Mary who is now adding hearty winter warmers including baked potatoes and hot soup to her menu.
“But our most popular line has to be our gourmet platters, which are all the rage with locals and bed and breakfast visitors, and our picnic baskets which are ideal for tourists wanting lunch or afternoon tea in the open air.”
The Deli Platter is at 1518 Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, Mount Dandenong.
