A 54-year-old Mount Evelyn man has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries after a gum tree fell across his car in traffic in Montrose this morning.
Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Graeme Rust said the man was driving city bound on Leith Road just before 7.30am.
The man was driving a Mitsubishi Triton utility vehicle with a canopy.
