Sheedy to give support

RHIANNON can’t wait to get into the swing of things, and wants everyone to join her.

Melba Support Services is holding a charity golf and dinner event on Friday 15 November at Yering Meadow’s Golf Course.
It’s the disability services provider fundraising event for the year and is gearing up to be a fabulous day.
Football great Kevin Sheedy is guest speaker and will talk about the intrinsic link between business, sport and community and Melba’s ambassador and football coach Brett Ratten will be there throughout the day to chat with guests.
Melba is located in Mt Evelyn and supports more than 150 adults with disabilities across the eastern suburbs to live everyday lives.
Last year Melba was the first organisation in Australia to be accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership, USA, in person-centred planning and this year it was recognised as the Yarra Ranges Community Group of the Year.
Its Charity Golf Day and dinner aims to raise money to help Melba continue to provide the high quality, individualised service that it is renowned for and, more specifically, to support its Accommodation Choice initiative, they will provide people with disabilities with more choice around where, with whom and with how many people they live.
The Golf Day and dinner event includes:

· 18 holes of golf at the exclusive Yering Meadows Course, a Ross Watson designed champion course;
· Dinner at The Grove Restaurant;
· Guest speaker Kevin Sheedy (dinner);
· Ambassador Brett Ratten (golf and dinner);
· On-course competitions throughout the day;
· Shotgun start to keep the day moving;
· Auctions, raffles and giveaways throughout the event.

For those who are interested in golf, dinner or simply supporting this fabulous organisation, there are a number of ways they can get involved.
They could:
· Secure a place (or team) for golf;
· Book for dinner (or both);
· Sponsor a hole;
· Sponsor the pre-dinner drinks;
· Contribute to the auction;
· Make a donation.
