KNOX Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team investigators are appealing for public assistance to locate a man following an indecent assault in Ferntree Gully earlier this month.
The incident happened on Monday 14 April when the victim, a 22-year-old woman was out jogging on Scoresby Road around 6.35pm.
The woman told police that she noticed a man walking along Scoresby Road near Sandgate Boulevard.
As she ran past the man he ran up behind her and grabbed her buttocks with one hand and her inner thigh with his other hand.
The woman screamed and broke away from the man, continuing on her way along Scoresby Road.
The man is described as being 170cm tall, aged in his forties, thin build and perceived to be of Caucasian appearance.
At the time of the offence he was wearing cream coloured chino pants, a black knitted top with a collar and round framed glasses.
