FROM brass to bass guitar and everything in between, the passionate staff at Upwey Music are dedicated to serving local music lovers.
Catering for beginners right through to professional musicians, Upwey Music aims to provide its loyal local clientele with a great range of products combined with quality service.
The store offers a wide selection of instruments, microphones, accessories and sheet music all at competitive prices. They also provide musical instrument repairs and servicing.
Heinz Dabernig owns the store and is an accomplished accordion player with over 50 years of professional performance experience. Heinz has several decades in sales and music shop ownership and was involved in establishing the Eastern Suburbs School of Music.
Heinz is backed by a team of exceptional musicians and friendly customer service professionals. Andrew Barcham is the store’s banjo and traditional music specialist as well as an upwey local, mountain picker and professional photographer. Neil McGrath is the resident ‘Guitar Guru’, and does all the guitar and bass set-ups and servicing. He has over 35 years of experience in music production and performance as well as composition for film and television. Rose Jackson is the print music specialist with over 30 years of experience in the music publication and retail business. If the music is out there, Rose can find it for you.
The impressive experience of the staff is backed up by an extensive range of products, including guitar and bass amplifiers, print music, strings, cables, connectors, reeds, computer interfaces and software, cases, bags, straps and stands, microphones and mixers. For the instrumentalists, Upwey Music sells a great selection including acoustic and electric guitars and basses, banjos, mandolins, hand drums and percussion, cigarbox guitars, violins, violas, cellos, ukuleles, recorders, harmonicas, flutes, electronic drums, keyboards, traditional and electronic accordions and more.
Visitors to the store catch on the expert knowledge and quality service of the staff and quickly turn into regular customers and friends.

Trading hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4.30pm Saturday.
