Facelift raises main street profile

By MELISSA MEEHAN

A LICK of paint and a few metres of mulch can make such a difference.
Upwey’s main street had a minor facelift last week, after the team at Project Upwey decided the shelter was looking old and tired.
President of Project Upwey Michelle Johnson said that the works started a few weeks ago but people really started to notice once a fresh coat of paint was added on Tuesday.
“We’re so lucky, Bunnings and Dulux supplied both paint and staff members to help with the works and it has been fantastic to see how much little things like this can change the streetscape.”
