ABOUT three weeks before the last federal election, I wrote a letter to the Mail. I outlined what the Liberal Party would do if they won said election. I said they would say that they didn’t realise how bad the economy was under Labor.
Tony Abbott himself, the night before the election, came out and said the ABC and SBS had nothing to fear. I also said they would bring back WorkChoices, but under the radar, so to speak. Today we hear that there is to be a workplace practices review.
To date I have counted 22 promises not kept. This government treats us like fools – we are certainly not.
Tony Abbott thinks that even though he is so toxic, you don’t change leaders halfway through a term. Really?
You are the problem.
He says “look at what we have achieved: 1 stopped the boats; 2 abolished the carbon tax; 3 abolish the mining tax”.
It is now eight months since the budget and they still haven’t got the major parts of it through.
It is no use the government blaming the senate – it is bad politics on their part. Amen to the senate, I say.
Reading through my letter back then, I think I must have been a psychic. Who knows what will happen next as this government staggers from disaster to disaster? A change of leader isn’t going to make any difference. I rest my case.
