THE Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service (DRERS) has set up its annual Christmas gift giving tree in the Belgrave Library.
Members of the community are encouraged to donate a gift to the tree which will be given to families in the Dandenong Ranges that may not be able to provide Christmas presents this year.
DRERS has been running the Christmas gift drive for 15th year, and provides Christmas presents for hundreds of people throughout the Ranges.
DRERS manager Tania Bevan said donating a gift through the DRERS Christmas tree was really simple.
“We just ask people to buy a gift and pop- it under the tree,” she said.
“There is no need to wrap the gift as they are displayed so the kids can have just what they want for Christmas.
“I want to thank everyone who has donated in the past, it’s making a big difference for families in the area,” Ms Bevan said.
If you wish to donate a gift but are feeling insecure about leaving the gift displayed under the tree, the staff at the library can mind the gift instead.
