RSL Appeals organisers at all sub-branches throughout Victoria are gearing up for the 2016 Anzac Appeal from 1 April.
This year marks the centenary of the RSL and that gives special significance to this year’s Anzac Appeal. President of the Mount Evelyn Sub-Branch, Roger Boness, is confident the local community will once again generously support the RSL’s annual Anzac Appeal.
“Our RSL volunteers, many of them veterans, are ready to offer a variety of Anzac Appeal badges,” he said.
“The high level of energy and commitment shown by our sub-branch volunteers, as they raise much-needed funds, is truly humbling.”
Funds raised through the appeal enable RSLs throughout Victoria to deliver much-needed assistance to those men and women who served have served Australia and now need support. Anzac Appeal badges can be purchased from local Woolworths, Officeworks, RSL sub-branches or volunteer collectors. You can also donate online at www.anzacappeal.com.au.
