ROYAL Australian Navy personnel from HMAS Cerberus enjoyed a history lesson of a more interactive variety at the Mt Evelyn RSL on the afternoon of Tuesday 24 May.
As part of a new education program, members within the Navy’s Personnel Support Unit toured the sub-branch and met with veterans.
They also enjoyed some fine hospitality and a war poem that was penned and performed by Jim Brown.
The initiative is designed to encourage a greater understanding of Australia’s war history, which the sub-branch was only too happy to facilitate.
