A GROUP of local emergency services has been the recipient of cheques totaling $30,000. On Sunday, 5 June, the Oakleigh branch of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) presented cheques of $10,000 each to Emerald CFA, Cockatoo CFA and Emerald SES. The funds represented the proceeds of the sale of a building the RAOB had owned. Emerald Captain Paul Yandle said the funds represented a year’s worth of fund-raising, which he said would go towards an overhead projector. Meanwhile, Emerald SES will use the money to kick-start a fund-raising drive for a new storm vehicle.
