THE family of missing Silvan couple Mark and Jacoba (Coby) Tromp hold grave concerns for the couple’s welfare, as police continue investigations into their whereabouts.
The adult children of the couple reported their parents missing to Goulburn Police on the afternoon of Tuesday 30 August.
Mark and Jacoba had been enjoying a family holiday with their adult children in the NSW central tablelands and had visited Bathurst and the Jenolan Caves area on Monday.
Of further concern to friends and family was the discovery of the couple’s car in the north-east Victorian city of Wangaratta.
Their grey Peugeot station wagon drew police attention, after it was reported the vehicle had been following a young couple in Wangaratta, about 10pm on Wednesday 31 August.
The couple reported to police they saw a man get out of the vehicle and run into Merriwa Park.
Police searched for the man, but were unable to locate him.
The Tromp couple operate a farm in the Silvan area and are well known in the community.
Victorian Police have confirmed the couple left personal possessions such as bank cards and mobile phones at their home in Victoria.
Mark is described being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall, with dark brown crew cut hair, a clean shaven face and brown eyes.
Coby is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 168cm tall with a fair complexion, a medium to heavy build and blonde shoulder length hair.
