Pheasant Pluckers have fun

By Casey Neill
MELBOURNE band The Pheasant Pluckers will perform their original rhythm and roots tunes at Selby Folk Club on Friday 5 September.
The four-piece band has toured Australia from northern Queensland and the far south of Hobart to mid-north New South Wales playing intimate pub gigs through to festivals.
The band features the sounds of Paul Jonas (violin and vocals), Keith Ludekens (blues harp, rub board, mandolin and vocals), Matt Campbell (flat picking guitar, slide guitar and vocals) and Rod Boothroyd (electric bass, double bass and vocals).
Remembered for their energetic performances, The Pheasant Pluckers have poured time and effort into forging their unique and contemporary Australian sound.
Their songs share personal reflections of life in Melbourne, from fun to failure.
Healesville’s Auriol and Craig Hannaford will kick off the monthly music night at Selby Community House, CharMles Street, Selby, at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm.
Tickets are $10.
