Utting stars in Hawks’ premiership

MONBULK CRICKET
An exciting four days of cricket at Monbulk with four junior semi-finals and the fourths grand final being played.
The Monbulk 4th XI became premiers after a great team effort with the ball, before a 118-run partnership between Paul Utting and Josh Rak saw the Hawks home.
Paul finished up on a magnificent 96 not out.
This team consisted of four of the club’s Under 16s and five other recent Monbulk junior players and is another example of the club’s bright future.
Congratulations to skipper Tim Fogarty and all the players on a well-deserved win over Upwey-Tecoma in front of a large Monbulk crowd.
The four junior semi-finals were all tight contests, played with great spirit and exciting for the players and spectators.
The Monbulk Under 12s won and now move into a home grand final this Thursday and Friday night.
Good luck to everyone.
