POLICE are investigating a Ferntree Gully brawl after two youths sustained stab wounds.
Senior Sergeant Phil Edmunds of Knox Police said a scuffle broke out on a platform at Ferntree Gully train station soon after 11pm on Friday, 19 September.
He said during the fight two Boronia teens were stabbed, one in the hand and the other in the stomach. The fight continued into the car park of the train station.
Police attended and broke up the fight. Both Boronia teens were taken to hospital in stable condition. Investigations are continuing.
A 28-YEAR-OLD Boronia man faces charges of theft from motor cars and going equipped to steal, following an incident in Ferntree Gully on Saturday.
Police said a man entered the yard of a house in Frankston Crescent soon after 8pm but ran from the scene when confronted by the occupants. Sen.-Sgt Edmunds said a pursuit followed along a bike track near Ferntree Gully station.
It was alleged the man was in possession of an emergency glass-breaking hammer, often seen in buses or trains to break glass in the case of an accident.
