THE importance of safe driving will be a key message at next month’s Cardinia Shire’s Road Safety Expo and Family Fun Day.
The annual event will be held at the PB Ronald Reserve, on the corner of John and Henry streets, Pakenham, on Saturday 25 October, from 10am to 2pm.
It will be held in partnership between the Shire of Cardinia, RoadSafe, Victoria Police, SES, CFA and Pakenham churches.
Mayor Bill Ronald said the expo was an opportunity for residents of all ages to get a close look at a range of emergency service vehicles and equipment.
“Our annual expo is among several initiatives by the council to raise awareness of road safety,” he said.
The expo will have something for everyone, with a number of displays from police, CFA, and SES.
It will also feature performances from the Victorian Police band, free face painting, a jumping castle, sausage sizzle, and safety demonstrations.
