IT’S time to pick up a racquet and ball and get into the swing of tennis.
Intense Tennis is offering free lessons for new students and will be holding an open day in Emerald on Sunday.
The open day will have something for all the family to enjoy.
A free barbecue will be available and will give families and kids the chance to meet Ian Paterson of Intense Tennis.
Paterson has been a full-time coach since the early ‘90s and is accredited by Tennis Australia.
He offers coaching, general advice and also has a range of racquet services such as regripping, and equipment sales.
Paterson has been coaching in the hills for more than 20 years.
“Over the years I have enjoyed watching many kids take up tennis and play through to adulthood,” he said.
“We teach children to be the best they can be and become great people through tennis.”
The open day will be held on Sunday at the Emerald Tennis Club, Beaconsfield-Emerald Road, from 10am.
Kids can also have a free hit on the courts.
Prizes and give-aways will also be available on the day.
To find out more about the day call 0417 516 854.
