Juniors beat the weather

ALTHOUGH rain washed away any chance of play in the FTGDCA senior competition, some games were still completed on Saturday morning in the juniors.
After all Knox Tavern and Decoite games were drawn, the next round will have the Knox Tavern Cup teams meeting rivals with similar match points and hoping to gain an advantage.
St Johns Tecoma will host Mountain Gate in a key match for both clubs, as they look for a win this season and try to grab a six-point buffer over the loser.
A combined Ferntree Gully and Yarra Valley veterans side will join with three ex-Sri Lankan Test players to take on the touring Royal Selangor veterans from Malaysia on Friday at Bayswater’s second oval.
In representative games, Ferntree Gully sides from under 14s, 16s and 18s had wins over the West Gippsland Cricket Association.
