New Year blast

New Year’s Eve revellers will see the return of the popular Rockabilly concert at the Ferntree Gully Hotel this year in a night of non-stop entertainment.
The Rockabilly Blast concert will feature top Australian act the Detonators with a blend of rock, rhythm and blues and a dash of country. The Atomic Hi-Tones will also help hills residents see in the New Year. This eclectic band has an unusual mix, described as “ACDC meets Elvis”.
With front man Cliff Jolly, the Atomic Hi-Tones features Ray Westcott on double bass and vocals, Kevin Spiers on lead guitar and Artie Shugg on drums.
Tickets are now on sale and cost $15 for the concert, or $30 for the show and a buffet dinner. Doors will open at 6.30pm for dinner or 8pm for the live entertainment at the Ferntree Gully Hotel, 1130 Burwood Highway, Ferntree Gully. To book, call 9758 6544.
