KNOX Council has launched a new native-gardening guide.
Gardens for Wildlife program participants will receive the booklet, which contains landscaping advice for using indigenous plants.
The joint Knox Environment Society and council initiative is free to join.
A volunteer will visit each participant to provide individual advice.
Knox Environment Society president Darren Wallace said the book emphasised providing native habitat.
“It’s designed to give inspiration and practical advice,” he said.
