FRANCESCA de Valence, Australia’s answer to Carole King will take centre stage at the latest instalment of the Ranges Burrinja Folk Club on Friday night.
She will headline this night of non-stop entertainment along side popular Celtic duo, Braemar.
For de Valence performing and music has always been a passion.
The Australian-born singer-songwriter has been working at her craft since she was just five years old.
Piano was de Valence’s first passion and by the time she was 16 had completed two degrees in classical music on both the violin and piano.
She then went on study jazz piano and voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and is a regular on the local scene.
The young singer has also played with an impressive list of artists such as Keith Urban, Michael Buble, the hills’ own Vanessa Amorosi and The Corrs.
The venue is the Burrinja Gallery Café, 351 Glenfern Road, Upwey from 8pm.
Entry cost is $10 for adults and children are free.
