MONBULK residents watched as the heavens opened on the weekend and drenched the tiny town with more than 50mm of rain.
The town also recorded the highest rainfall from across the state.
Monbulk has now received 54.8 mm for the month of April, which is a stark improvement on the 8mm recorded at the same time last year.
Rain continued yesterday (Monday) with more than 6mm recorded by noon.
