KNOX residents are invited to pay tribute to local emergency crews at a council ceremony on Sunday 19 April.
The ceremony will honour those who battled recent bushfires, including CFA, SES, police and other emergency and support service members.
Knox mayor David Cooper said the event was an opportunity to acknowledge their bravery and service.
“They’ve risked their lives protecting communities on the frontline, and they’ve also been supporting recovery,” he said.
“The bravery, selflessness and generosity of our emergency services have been the catalyst for Victoria, and Australia to unite in the face of one of our biggest tragedies.”
The event will be held at Knox Civic Centre from 11am to 1pm.
No public parking will be available at the centre.
