KNOX residents can learn more about a new solar panel scheme at two information sessions this month.
Knox Council has joined forces with five shires to offer a bulk solar purchasing scheme.
Residents will be able to install a system for $2626 after government rebates, saving up to $3000.
“These projects are giving residents practical ways to reduce their impact on the planet,” Chandler Ward councillor John Mortimore said.
“It’s a program that saves money and makes sense.”
Two 90-minute information sessions will be held at Club Kilsyth in Bayswater North on 20 April and Box Hill Town Hall on 23 April, from 7pm.
