LITTLE Albert’s Childcare Centre at 166 Albert Avenue, Boronia is fast approaching its first anniversary.
The centre, which is privately owned and family run, opened on 14 May last year and has quickly grown in numbers of children and staff.
Little Albert’s proprietor Linda Pettigrew, has had significant experience in running childcare centres with a previous background in nursing, midwifery and maternal and child health.
“Every effort is made to employ professional and caring staff,” she said.
“As the owner of a childcare centre it is rewarding to receive positive feedback from parents.
“We are pleased when they tell us their children are developing in childcare as, at times, many people question what we do within the childcare industry.” Little Albert’s Childcare Centre caters for all age groups with individual age-related rooms and play areas. Ms Pettigrew said the nursery in particular had grown very quickly.
“The centre also commenced its pre-school program at the beginning of the year with Sarah Donald as the qualified pre-school teacher,” she said.
“Term two will begin with a traffic safety focus, investigating what children need to do to be safe in the car and as a pedestrian.”
Interested parents are invited to contact the centre at any time. All inquiries are welcome to childcare centre director Barbra Vernon, or assistant manager Terri Macdonald on 9761 0022, 9761 2604 or mobile 0448 399 221.
