MP faces axe

LIBERAL Silvan MP Andrew Olexander is facing expulsion from his party at a special parliamentary meeting today (Tuesday).
This comes after Mr Olexander lashed out at the state Liberal Party after he was defeated in the preselection ballot for next year’s election.
He told a Melbourne metropolitan newspaper that the Liberal Party was homophobic. Mr Olexander failed to turn up to Parliamentary sittings last week and will face a special meeting of the Liberal Party today to decide his fate.
Mr Olexander did not respond to the Mail’s request for an interview.
