Fire sale for CFA upgrade

BELGRAVE Fire Brigade will hold its 25th annual art show this Queen’s birthday long weekend.
The event is the crew’s main fundraiser, and organiser Ted Heron hopes to raise up to $10,000 to update equipment and buy other supplies.
More than 350 paintings will be in the running for the $2000 top award – the Jack Montgomery Prize.
Also on offer is $1000 for the best oil acrylic, another $1000 for best watercolour, $500 for the best pastel and $500 for the top flora and fauna artwork.
Belgrave Fire Station is at 4 Bayview Road, Belgrave and the exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm daily.
