Business partners Lisa Baker and Katie Beale met at playgroup.
They discovered that not only did they share having two very energetic young children each, but they also trained at the same yoga school a year apart.
They have been able to gauge a strong and increasing interest in yoga and meditation and set about trying to find a way of offering yoga to more people.
A year later, the result is the beautifully renovated Mindstream Centre on the main road of Emerald.
It combines the authentic yoga experience with easy accessibility and strong links with the community. “We are just so passionate about making people feel good and sharing the many benefits of yoga with everyone,” they said.
Lisa and Katie understand that people want different things from yoga, such as developing strength and flexibility, addressing a particular physical health concern such as sore back or tight hamstrings, or as a relief from stress.
Whatever the reason, Mindstream Centre offers a number of styles and classes including gentle, restorative, meditative and more dynamic practices as well as yoga for mums to be and parent and baby yoga.
They also offer meditation drop-in sessions and courses.
The centre itself enjoys beautiful views over the Emerald valley and is fully accessible for wheelchairs.
It also incorporates two treatment rooms and offers naturopathy, life coaching, acupuncture and Kalari Healing with a genuinely holistic attitude to health and well-being.
