COCKATOO Montessori School is pleased to announce it has additional places for 2010 following a successful application to Cardinia Shire to expand its enrolment ceiling.
The school, which opened in 2004 with 28 students, has grown steadily to reach its maximum of 45 students earlier this year.
“We are now ready to embark on a more significant growth phase with two new purpose built-classrooms planned for construction next year,” said principal Karen Bennetts.
“This comes on top of a strong year this year, involving a recent refurbishment of our current building, construction of a new, safer car park, and the replacement of our playground for six to 12-year-olds.”
Cockatoo Montessori School is an independent, co-educational school offering holistic and child-centred education for children from three to 12 years of age.
The school offers a comprehensive curriculum with many more extra curricular opportunities than are normally seen in small schools.
“Our children are achieving some remarkable results now, with many pursuing their passions at an advanced level,” said Ms Bennetts.
“Most importantly, our children seem happy and enjoy coming to school.”
The school is holding an open morning on Friday 13 November from 9am to 11am.
Further information can be obtained by phoning the school on 5968 1640.
